Carroll Gladden Jones De’Friend November 2, 1942 – March 2, 2023 Carroll Ann White born November 2, 1942 in Des Moines’s Iowa met her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2023 at home in Fouke, Arkansas. She was 80 had been on hospice for years, fighting Parkinson’s, and much more. Carroll is preceded in death by her father Elwin Arthur White; her mother Mildred Winona Douglas; Two of her sisters, Martha Bartolotti & Mary Riley; a brother Ritzen ( Michael ) White; a great granddaughter Joslyn Weitzel; all her husbands. She is survived by a son Mark D. Gladden; a daughter Debbie Jo Weitzel and son-in-law, Dana ( Eddie ) Weitzel; grand children Edward L. Weitzel and Wife Tiffany Weitzel; Mary E. Weitzel; Frances D.M. Weitzel; Dana E. Weitzel Jr.; Shawn Gladden; Michelle Lafayette; Annie Gladden DeCaprio; and numerous great grand children; a sister Midge Tillotson and brother-in-law Bruce Tillotson; numerous nieces and nephews ; and special friends, Penny Garrison and Travis Crabtree also special nurses Katy and Dawn with Gentiva, hospice. Carroll was put in the system at five years old going from foster home to others running away looking for her family until she was 12 years old and got married for the first time . She had worked in sales from Mary Kay cosmetics to House of Lloyd and too many others to mention also Colgate Palmolive, and then more sales. She love to travel she lived from Alaska to California to Arkansas to Nevada. Carroll Ann had a passion for critters and painting. She was a good mother, a great best friend, a great grandma. She always knew how to brighten someone’s day and make them feel loved. She would do whatever needed to be done for the people she loved. She treated everyone with kindness and respect regardless. Anyone who knew her was blessed just to know her. Her unconditional love and support will never be forgotten. There are many more things that could be said about Carroll Ann that words cannot describe her or the love she had for all her family and friends. In her last year of life she had got to meet and spend time with her baby sister and reunite with her older sister, after being apart for 75 years, her heart was finally full. A memorial service will be held at Jonesville Community Church Saturday , March 25th at 2:30 PM .
